I read this book because the author had been compared to Lisa Kleypas, unfortunately it’s not fair to Ms. Kleypas. This book was riddled with nonsensical ramblings, impossible antidotes. I kept thinking what else could I have read other than this book. So the topic and subject are not disparate parts but they were treated in a jerky way and presented as if realistic when they were ridiculous. A husband kicks in the door to stop the assault of his wife, then throws the perpetrator out the window and stays there in the washroom to all but make love to her on the spot and no one, at a grand party, hears the commotion and appears. Really! After the kidnapping and the finding of each other this book could have well ended. It felt like she had a number of pages she had to write contractually. Well she met that objective but not more. 2 stars for the audacity.
